A
group of enthusiastic agility trialers recognised the need for an
agility club in the south eastern suburbs and set to work to form a new
club based at
KCC
Park, Skye.
The
K9 Agility Club Inc was established in August 2004 and training
commenced at the beginning of October of that year.
We
cater for all breeds and all sizes of dogs – small, medium and large
and owners can be of all ages and fitness levels.
Your dog does not have to be purebred to learn and participate in
agility.
We
cater for all levels of training from complete beginners to very
experienced handlers and train using positive methods.
As
well as great exercise and fun for you and your dog, agility also
increases your rapport with and enjoyment of your dog when you and your
dog train together, polishing your skills and developing teamwork.
As
you become more proficient you may wish to compete in agility trials
with your dog. There is also
a chance for you to become involved as a steward at trials or become a
judge.
To
join K9 Agility Club Inc your dog must be at least 12 months of age.
Your dog does not have to have reached a certain level of
obedience training but will need to be under control.
